What you’re fishing for

rockfish fishing westport

Rockfish

  • Average about 2–7 pounds
  • School on a rocky structure, so once you’re on them, the action can stay steady
  • Mild, white meat that’s perfect for fish and chips, tacos, or simple pan‑fried fillets
Lingcod Fishing Westport WA

Lingcod

  • Run roughly 4–40 pounds, with legit “trophy” potential
  • Aggressive predators that live tight to the bottom and crush baits
  • Thick, white fillets that hold up great baked, grilled, or fried

On this bottom fishing trip, the daily target is 7 rockfish and 2 lingcod per angler, which lines up with the coastal structure and regulations in this area. If you decide you want to chase even bigger lingcod in deeper water after this, you can level up to our dedicated deep water lingcod fishing trips for a heavier, more technical day on the same coastline.
