Halibut w/ Deepwater Lingcod & Rockfish
Essentially, bottom fishing, in deep waters, which yields larger Rockfish and larger Lingcod with Halibut. These trips are more enjoyable if you have some experience with a near shore bottom fishing. This season is open for a period of time in June. This fishery targets 1 Halibut, 7 Rockfish and 2 Lingcod. Rockfish can weigh between 3 and 8 pounds, with Lingcod coming in at 10 to 40+ pounds. It’s not uncommon to catch Canary, Yellowtail, and Bocaccio Rockfish while on these excursions. These trips are longer than our nearshore bottom fishing trips. Be prepared to put in some work.

Our Halibut Fishing Charter in Westport, Washington, is an 11-hour deep-water trip targeting Pacific halibut up to 35 miles offshore in depths reaching 600 feet. This is a limited-season, quota-regulated fishery – and one of the most sought-after trips on the Washington coast.
With small groups of just 4-6 anglers, you’ll have a focused, professionally managed deep-water experience. Each angler may retain 1 halibut, and when time and regulations allow, you may also target deep-water lingcod (up to 2) and rockfish (up to 7) on the return run.
