Everything you want to know before you book — answered honestly.

Yes — a valid Washington State fishing license is required. If you don't have one, no problem. You can purchase a 1-day license directly onboard for just $10 before we leave the dock.
The Pacific can get choppy, especially in the morning. The most important rule: take seasickness medication well before you board — not after you start feeling rough. Dramamine or Bonine taken the night before and morning of works well for most people. Staying on deck and focusing on the horizon also helps significantly. If you're prone to motion sickness, plan ahead and you'll be fine.
We depart from Float 6, across from 2319 Westhaven Drive, Westport, WA 98595. Check in 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. Parking is available in the Westport marina area nearby.
The crew handles your fish at the rail during the trip — landing, keeping, and organizing your catch. Fish filleting services are available through local processors at the Westport marina after you return. We'll point you in the right direction when we dock.
Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before your departure.

Cancel on time: your deposit is refunded minus a 10% cancellation fee.
Cancel late (less than 72 hours): no refund is issued.

You can cancel using the link in your confirmation email or by calling the office directly.
Safety is always the first priority. If we cancel a trip due to weather or conditions beyond our control, you have two options: a full refund, or a rain check for another available date. We notify you as early as possible if conditions require a cancellation.
Plan for a full day on the open Pacific Ocean:

• Hat and sunglasses
• Layers and a waterproof jacket (even on warm days it gets cold offshore)
• Snacks and food for the full 9.5 hours
• Plenty of water and drinks
• Seasickness medication (take it before departure, not after)

Rods, reels, and bait are all provided. Just show up ready to fish.
Absolutely — this is one of our most beginner-friendly trips on the schedule. The crew coaches you from the very first drop: how to feel the bottom, spot bites, and set the hook. Kids must be 10 or older. Many of our guests are first-time ocean anglers who walk away with a cooler full of fish and a huge smile.
